How to setup Bugee#@! into your server (local or not).

Download the Bugee.zip

Local PC

Extract the contents inside a folder e.g. \Bugee. After the extracting , a folder with the name serverside will be inside the Bugee folder.

Server ( or local host )

Create a folder with the name Bugee in the root folder. Upload ( or copy if the server is local ) the contents of the serverside folder that we extracted in the previous step .

Install Bugee#@! DataBase

If you have followed the above steps , you must have by now a folder with the name Bugee inside the root folder of your http server. This folder will have the following files:

/images The folder with the images that the scripts will use.

/execq.php You will not use this script. This script will be called by the client program.

/install.php This is the script that creates the database and the config file.

/issue.php You will use this script when you want to display a certain issue to your users.

/knownbugs.php Use this script to show to your users a page with the known bugs ( type must be 0 and state must be > 0 for the issue to appeared  ).

/reqresponce.php You will not use this script. This script will be called by the client program.

/retapps.php You will not use this script. This script will be called by the client program.

/submit.php You will not use this script. This script will be called by the client program.

/submitform.php This script creates a submit form that the user can use to report an issue.

To install the Bugee#@! to the http server you must run the install.php script. You can run the script if you type in the address bar of your browser the following: http://yourhost/bugee/install.php when yourhost is... well your host !

The following screenshot shows the install form that the script creates.

 installb.php

DB name is the database name , preferably is to name the DB as bugee.

user is the username of the MYSQL.

password is the MYSQL password.

host your host , if the server is local then set this field as localserver or the local IP. Some times the hosting provider , provides a special connection string for connecting to MYSQL , if this is the case then set this field to that string.

Bugee Pass a pass that the Bugee#@! will use when retrieve issues.

Retype Pass retype the above pass.

WARNING ! If your hosting provider has not gave you a master username and password  then you will not able toi create the Bugee#@! database from this form. In this case you must go to your CPanel , create manually an empty database e.g bugee and then create a user in this database e.g. user : u1 password : pass1. Then return to the install form and set the database as bugee ( we follow the previous example ) the user as u1 and the password as pass1. If you fill all the fields then push the install button. The script will create all the tables that are necessary and the config file.

If all the above steps are done then the server instalation is completed.
